Sunday Worship: 10:30 am
is held during the Worship Service on the first Sunday of every month. All are invited to the communion table. There is no Sunday School on Communion Sundays. Activity sheets will be provided for the children.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN
meets during worship, September through May. Children attend the opening of the worship service before being dismissed to their classrooms after ‘Children’s Time’ during the service. In the classrooms, that topic is enhanced with a variety of activities. There is no Sunday School on the first Sunday of every month when we celebrate Communion so families can worship together. The combined Sunday School presents a Christmas pageant during worship in December and the Passion drama on Palm Sunday.
for infants through kindergarten age is available during the Worship Service.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR ADULTS
is available most Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM during the school year. Check with the office (314.631.8930 or email@example.com) to verify current availability. Both a Bible study class and a book discussion group meet at this time.
The congregation elects members to a 7-person Church Council on a rotating basis. The congregation meets at least twice a year, at its annual meeting in January and a budget meeting in November. In conjunction with the pastor and the ministry teams, the Church Council is responsible for the spiritual well being of the church; it sets policy, oversees the financial dealings of the church, prepares the annual church budget and calls special meetings as needed.
practices every week in the fall and every two weeks in the winter and spring. They sing twice a month during Sunday worship and also present a Christmas Cantata.
meets during worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month (September through May). Our Youth Group is composed of middle-school and high-school-aged young people. The group plans special projects and social activities for its members and for the congregation. Additionally, they raise money for and are engaged in mission projects and trips.
WOMEN’S SPIRITUAL GROWTH GROUP
meets on the first Monday of each month at 7 PM in the Library. Meetings are held September through May.
YOUNG ADULTS FOREVER
plans activities each quarter. Past activities include Mystery Show & Dinner, Grizzlies’ Baseball, Progressive Dinners and Concerts. Adults of all ages are welcome.
meets Tuesdays, 7 PM from September through April at Eden and at other participating churches. The schedule is printed at the beginning of the season in September. See the Eden Greeting newsletter for schedule.

A portion of proceeds from our rental properties is designated to our Outreach Fund. This fall and early winter, Council approved Mission and Outreach’s request to use of this fund to assemble and distribute Care Bags and Emergency Food boxes. In November, Eden collected items for ECH’s (Every Child’s Hope) Christmas shop. We delivered over 200 gifts (toys, clothes, games, etc.) on November 30th! Thanks, Eden! During December, members stocked the Giving Tree at the entry to the Upper Room. On December 16, five Eden members joined a number of other churches at Habitat’s work site in South County. Eden members and friends brought 245 lbs of fresh fruit and vegetables to worship on November 19 to benefit the Affton Christian Food Pantry for Thanksgiving.
Christian Ed plate was full once again in 2017.
